Screening for Plagiarism Policy

UNIBRAH: Journal of Education, Social, and Humanities Studies (JESHS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer review process.

The journal uses reliable plagiarism detection software to evaluate the originality of each manuscript. Authors are expected to submit original work that has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

JESHS applies a maximum similarity index of 25%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources. In addition, the similarity from any single source should not exceed 5%. Manuscripts that exceed these limits or contain evidence of plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected outright or returned to the authors for revision before further consideration.

The editorial team reserves the right to conduct plagiarism screening at any stage of the editorial and publication process. If plagiarism or other ethical violations are identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, retract the article, or take other appropriate actions in accordance with established publication ethics and the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
