Peer Reviewer Process
All manuscripts submitted to UNIBRAH: Journal of Education, Social, and Humanities Studies (JESHS) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review.
The peer review process consists of the following stages:
- Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team evaluates each submitted manuscript to determine its suitability with the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, originality, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected before peer review. - Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area. - Double-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, clarity, ethical standards, quality of analysis, and contribution to the field. They provide constructive comments and recommendations to assist both the authors and editors. - Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision.
- Accept with minor revisions.
- Request major revisions.
- Reject the manuscript.
- Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscript according to the reviewers' and editors' comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. - Final Decision
The Editor evaluates the revised manuscript and, when necessary, may return it to the reviewers for further assessment before making the final publication decision.
JESHS is committed to conducting a fair, objective, confidential, and timely peer review process. All reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, declare any potential conflicts of interest, and provide unbiased, constructive, and professional evaluations.
