IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STUNTING CONTROL ACCELERATION PROGRAM IN TIDORE MUNICIPALITY

This research is motivated by the significant success of Tidore Islands City in 
reducing its stunting prevalence from 25.15% to 19.1% based on the 2022 
Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI). This study aims to analyze the 
strategies and policy innovations implemented in accelerating stunting reduction 
in the region. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, informants were 
selected purposively to ensure comprehensive data acquisition. Data sources 
comprised primary and secondary data, gathered through in-depth interviews, 
direct observation, and documentation. Data validity was verified using source 
and technical triangulation, while data analysis followed the Miles and 
Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion 
drawing. The results demonstrate that the acceleration of stunting reduction was 
achieved through two critical approaches. First, regulatory strengthening via 
Mayor Regulation Number 45.2 of 2022 concerning the Stunting Reduction 
Acceleration Team, complemented by the precision mapping of stunting focus 
locations (locus). Second, the institutionalization of policy innovation through 
the "Healthy Community Care Movement" (Gema Sehat), which actively 
integrates governmental roles with civil society initiatives. In conclusion, robust 
regulatory collaboration and community-based policy innovation serve as the 
primary drivers for successful stunting reduction in Tidore Municipality.
